Dimensions is Fractal Theatre Collective's new works development program. Dimensions is intended for young or emerging playwrights to help them take their work to the next level. Fractal takes a grassroots approach to producing work, and we want to amplify unheard voices in theatre. If you have something you want to say but feel like you have no platform to say it, we want to hear it! We accept scripts as well as play concepts in our submission box.
If your play or concept is accepted as our Dimensions play of the month, Fractal first provides intensive workshopping with our Artistic Director Andrew Watring. Then, the script is taken into rehearsal-- Fractal provides a director and actors so that you can see your work come to life and more strategically hone it. The Dimensions workshop culminates in a public staged reading of your work. The reading is Pay-What-You-Can, and you as the playwright will receive a 20% cut of the revenue (in addition to a base stipend of $100). The rest of the reading's revenue is used to pay the reading’s overhead, including actor and director stipends and space rental. Due to resource limitations, we ask that your script is able to be performed by 6 actors or less (we encourage double casting of roles to meet this requirement).
Dimensions is completely open to any and all submissions. Even if you’ve never written a play before, if you have a concept, you can write a play, and we’d love to help you write it. For more information, please email us at FractalTC@gmail.com.

Each selected playwright will have their work culminate in a stage reading. Fill out the forms below if you are interested in directing or performing in a reading. All positions are paid by stipend and a percentage of ticket sales from the reading.
